This year will see Tasmanians taking to the streets to celebrate their pride and diversity for the fifth year running. And we want 2015 to see the biggest and brightest Pride Parade yet! We invite community groups, businesses, service organisations and individuals from all over this beautiful island of ours, and from all corners of the community, to join with us to unite and share the joy in celebrating how far we’ve come, as well as sending a message of support those who still have so far to go.
The Parade will conclude at Parliament House Lawns with a Community Gathering where there will be entertainment and stalls.
Join the colour and music, and bring plenty of your own, as we paint the town rainbow for one of the TasPride Festival’s most loved events – described by many as their highlight of the year!
BYO Flags, banners, music, drums, whistles, and sense of fun.
DATE: Saturday, 7 Nov. 11:30am for a 12pm start.
VENUE: Marshalling at the Playhouse Theatre and walking down Murray St to Parliament Lawns
RSVP to the Facebook event, and invite your friends, family, colleagues – everyone!
Please note that due to permit restrictions, no vehicles or bicycles can be used in the Pride Parade, so wear your comfy shoes, and check the weather on the day to be prepared.
