Madi Peattie - festival coordinator

Madi is the Director of Mad Events, a Tasmanian event management business that has been operating for over four years.   She is a graduate from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and International Business.   

From her first contract with the Boating Industry Association of Western Australia as Events and Promotions Coordinator, until today, Mad Events has successfully managed and coordinated over 15 large scale events including the 2006, 2007 and 2008 A Taste of the Huon, the inaugural 2008 A Day on the Beach, the 2008 and 2009 TasPride Festival and Food & Beverage Manager for the 2007 and 2009 Australian Wooden Boat Festival.  Madi recently started up Tasmanian Farm Gate – Hobart's first farmers' market.

Madi is driven by an innate and tremendous sense of pride in Tasmania, awareness and an appreciation of its rich and diverse offerings and the opportunities that these present for small businesses in local, national and international markets.
