Drag Workshop Part 2 is for participants from Drag Workshop Part 1 and anyone who is looking to develop digital content. Part two will cover how to make a drag video in the format of a music video. These sessions are designed to teach how to achieve this on a phone with limited or no equipment. The first two sessions will cover storyboarding/conceptualisation, filming, sound and editing. Then there will be a mentorship session with our facilitator Luke Cruddas aka Leelyn Double Chin for mentorship before a final session to bring it all together. The objective is to create a music video to be shown at the Artfully Queer Digital Edition Showcase at the Rosny Barn, Rosny in April 2025, At Artfully Queer TIME Exhibition in October 2023 and on the TasPride website.
To do this workshop you will need
a smart phone that can record video and sound
access to the internet and zoom
pencil / pen and sketch book / or digital illustration program for storyboarding
access to word processing software for script writing
costumes, make-up, props, cool locations and buddies as back up dancers
